What is the Contact lens fitting fee?
This fee covers extra procedures for fitting contacts beyond the routine glasses exam and usually a one week follow-up, but may include several visits in the first 30 days from the initial visit. If the contacts are doing well for the patient at the one week follow-up, then a prescription for contacts will be given to the patient. Both new fits and established contact lens wearer are subject to the fitting fee.
What is a free trial pair of contacts?
Most disposable brands of contacts offer a free trial pair of contacts to be used for fitting purposes. Conventional yearly contacts, RGPs, and some specialty lenses have no free trials.
